HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!

Hello, everyone!

This week we have been learning about Thanksgiving, about "The First Thanksgiving" and about Thanksgiving nowadays. Jude told us how important this celebration is for him and for many families in the United States.

This morning, we have been talking about the reasons we have to feel happy and thankful.
Fortunately, we have lots of them, family, friends, home, food,  schools, entertainment activities, hospitals ...   Sadly, everyday news  show us images of people from all over the world trying to survive under unfair circumstances.

I'm thankful for the willingness and strength to keep on trying to improve our life and our world.

P.S.     THANKS TO OUR KIDS  FOR RUNNING FOR " SAVE THE CHILDREN"
AND THANKS TO THE FAMILIES FOR SUPPORTING THEM!!!

GROUNDHOG DAY FEBRUARY 2nd

Groundhog Day is an American and Canadian tradition celebrated on February 2nd.

According to folklore, if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, the spring season will come early; if it is sunny, the groundhog will, supposedly, see its shadow and retreat back into its den. This means that winter weather will persist for six more weeks.

Modern customs of the holiday involve celebrations where early morning festivals are held to watch the groundhog emerging from its burrow.
